From 12 till 14 September 2023, a workshop was held in Riga on the development of an online training program for textile examination experts within the framework of the project "Competency, Education, Research, Testing, Accreditation, and Innovation in Forensic Science " (CERTAIN-FORS).
For three days, 20 forensic experts from various forensic laboratories of the European Union met in Riga to test in practice the scientific validity and technical support of the developed training modules. The meeting was organized by the State Forensic Science Bureau, which is one of the project partners.
The project is co-funded by the Internal Security Fund of the European Union. The coordinator of the project is the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI). 59 forensic institutions, universities and other organizations from 32 countries are involved in the implementation of the project.
