On 18-20 December 2023 six forensic experts from the State Forensic Science Bureau (SFSB) visited the Norwegian State Criminal Investigation Service KRIPOS. The visit was attended by the Quality Manager, two forensic experts from the Biological and Chemical Investigations Department and three forensic experts from the Document Investigation Department.
The visit was held within the framework of the European Economic Area Grants 2014–2021 programme "International Police Cooperation and Combating Crime".
The total funding for the project "Strengthening of the capacity of forensic system and inspection of the site of the event" is estimated at 2 680 000 EUR, of which the EEA Grants funding of 85% is 2 278 000 EUR and the national co-financing of 15% is 402 000 euro, complemented by a grant of 171 000 EUR from Fund for bilateral relations under the Norway Grants Programme. The project is to be implemented until April 30, 2024.
