The SFSB in co-operation with Estonian and Lithuanian forensic science institutions has started development of the Unified Register of Forensic Science Experts within the framework of the project “Find a Forensic Expert” (JUST/2014/JACC/AG/E-JU/6963) co-funded by the European Union Justice Programme.

The aim of the project is to develop the Unified Register of Forensic Science Experts and the Unified Classification of Forensic Examinations accessible on-line initially covering the Baltic States - Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. General information on forensic science and forensic science institutions will be prepared for the Ejustice portal (ejustice.europa.eu) as well. Duration of the project: 2 years.

  • 18.01.-20.01.2017. Project teem meeting in Vilnius
    • Representatives of the Baltic forensic science institutions – Forensic Science Bureau of Latvia, Estonian Forensic Science Institute, Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania and Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Centre gathered in the meeting which was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 18 to 20 January 2017 within the framework of the project “Find a Forensic Expert” (JUST/2014/JACC/AG/E-JU/6963) co-funded by the European Union Justice Programme. The project co-ordinator is the Forensic Science Bureau of Latvia

      The aim of the project is to develop a Unified Register of Forensic Science Experts and Unified Classification of Forensic Examinations accessible on-line initially covering the Baltic States - Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. General information for the E-justice portal (ejustice.europa.eu) on forensic science and forensic science institutions will be prepared as well. Duration of the project: 2 years. The next project team meeting in April 2017 is planned in Riga, Latvia.

  • 10.10.-12.10.2016. Project teem meeting in Tallinn
    • Representatives of the Baltic forensic science institutions – Forensic Science Bureau of Latvia, Estonian Forensic Science Institute, Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania and Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Centre gathered in the meeting which was held in Tallinn, Estonia, from 10 to 12 October 2016 within the framework of the project “Find a Forensic Expert” (JUST/2014/JACC/AG/E-JU/6963) co-funded by the European Union Justice Programme.

      The aim of the project is to develop a Unified Register of Forensic Science Experts and Unified Classification of Forensic Examinations accessible on-line initially covering the Baltic States - Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
